Job summary

IBM Consulting is seeking a Transition Manager to oversee the transfer of SOW requirements from legacy contracts into the new program. This on-site role will involve coordinating with sponsors, managing timelines, and ensuring quality across transitions.

The position emphasizes leadership of cross-functional teams, adherence to ITSM/ITIL practices, and delivering a seamless handover during transition periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten (10) years of experience in managing transitions for software applications, with a proven track record of delivering complex transitions on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience analyzing complex technical issues and developing effective solutions.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience with IT service management frameworks and methodologies, such as ITIL, Agile, and/or CMMI. Experience in managing cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, infrastructure specialists, and other stakeholders.
• Certified Scrum Master
• Minimum five (5) years in managing transitions for large-scale software applications transitions for enterprise-level applications
• Must have TS/SCI W/FSP day 1
• Certified Scrum Master

Responsibilities

• Oversee transition from legacy contracts to the new program, ensuring alignment with SOW requirements.
• Meet weekly with the Sponsor to review contract and program/project status during transition periods.
• Ensure a seamless transfer of SOW requirements from legacy contracts to the new program.
