Job summary

Occidental Oil & Gas (Oxy) seeks an IT Service Specialist II in The Woodlands, TX, to deliver advanced deskside support for hardware, software, and user productivity tools. You will diagnose incidents, document care steps, and coordinate with IT teams on new tech deployments.

You will work in the IT Digital Experience group, align with safety and environmental standards, and help optimize end-user experiences while growing with the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT/CS or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of IT experience.
• Valid driver's license with no restrictions.
• Available for callouts as needed.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong troubleshooting across Windows, Office Suite, IT infra, hardware, WAN/LAN, printing, AV.
• Professional communication with stakeholders and vendors.
• Oil & Gas industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced deskside and end-user support for hardware, OS, apps, peripherals, printing, and related tech.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents and service requests with clear customer communication.
• Log and manage incidents using IT service-management tools.
• Own issues through resolution or escalation as needed.
• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and infrastructure.
• Develop relationships to understand requirements and improve end-user experience.
• Collaborate with IT teams to deploy new technologies and services.
• Keep locations informed of planned activities, outages, and issues.
