Job summary

New Charter, LLC is seeking a Technical Service Engineer to deliver Tier 1 IT support from Chattanooga. This on-site role handles end-user requests and basic troubleshooting, with a focus on quick resolution and clear communication.

You will work with NOC, CSRs, and other IT tiers, log actions, and escalate complex issues. Starting salary is $40,000, plus health, dental, vision insurance and PTO. Shift is on-site Thursday to Sunday, 8am–5pm on Thu/Fri and 8am–8pm Sat/Sun.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of troubleshooting PC systems in a professional environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers via phone, email, or ticketing system.
• Diagnose and resolve Tier 1 IT issues promptly.
• Escalate complex issues to higher-tier teams with proper documentation.
• Follow standard operating procedures and stay updated on guidelines from the TSM.
• Update logs and assist with preventive maintenance and documentation.
