Job summary

RSM US LLP in Houston is seeking a Managed IT Service Desk Intern to join our Technology Consulting team. You will work remotely with clients, assisting with a range of infrastructure tasks and supporting our consultants across engineering, technology, design and business projects.

This internship emphasizes customer service, problem solving and a drive to learn. You will document issues in the ticketing system, assist with backups and server work, and travel up to 25% to client locations as

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in MIS, CS, or IT concentration.
Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio).
Experience with Office 365 and related workloads.

Responsibilities

Provide phone and email technical support for end-users to resolve hardware or software issues.
Support and troubleshoot workstations, servers and network related issues.
Perform systems administration for Office 365, Windows Servers, and workstations across multiple clients.
Adaptability to changing processes and technology.
Collaborate effectively within a team.
Monitor and troubleshoot client backups.
Escalate client issues through proper channels.
Document support issues and resolutions in RSM's ticketing system.
Communicate updates to clients and close cases.
Travel to client locations as required (up to 25%).
