ASM Research is seeking a technical writer to translate complex, security-relevant information into clear guides, SOPs, workflows, and reference materials for diverse audiences. You will gather data from engineers and IT leaders, apply templates, and produce documentation across manuals, knowledge articles, and online help.

The role emphasizes plain-language, accessibility compliance, and working with agile/DevOps teams to keep documentation aligned with frequent system releases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, Technical Writing, Communications, IT, or related field.
• 0-3 years of progressively responsible experience in technical writing or related communication roles.
• Ability to translate complex technical information for varied audiences.
• Experience with documentation tools (word processing, PDF, help-authoring).
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading skills with attention to detail and version control.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers, analysts, and cross-functional teams in fast-paced IT environments.
• Active or obtainable SECRET clearance and U.S. citizenship, with minimal travel.

Responsibilities

• Translate technical and security information into clear user guides, SOPs, workflows, and reference materials for varied audiences.
• Gather and validate information by interviewing engineers, analysts, and IT leaders; review specs and observe workflows.
• Apply structured writing principles and templates to create cohesive, findable content across manuals and online help.
• Produce content in multiple formats, including web help, printable docs, and training materials.
• Apply plain-language and accessibility standards to improve clarity and compliance.
• Coordinate reviews, track comments, and maintain version-controlled change history.
• Partner with agile and DevOps teams to update docs with frequent releases and service changes.
• Support documentation for enterprise IT services like cloud, cybersecurity, and ITSM.
