NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company is seeking an IT Project Manager to drive large-scale infrastructure and virtualization transformations, focusing on VMware migrations and hybrid-cloud environments. The role requires 5+ years of PM experience, strong Azure DevOps skills, and hands-on migration tooling expertise.

You will lead planning through cutover, coordinating vendors and internal teams to minimize disruption while navigating complex compliance and risk considerations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT Project Management experience in tech environments.

• Hands-on with patch scheduling, updates, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience with platform/infrastructure migration tooling.
• Experience with compliance frameworks, automation tools, and dependency mapping.
• Strong understanding of virtualization and hypervisor architecture.
• Experience with hypervisor design, performance tuning, and workload optimization post-migration.
• Experience managing data center, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Proven ability to manage infra migrations across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud with minimal disruption.
• Strong risk, cutover, timeline, and vendor-constraint management.
• Experience leading migrations driven by vendor exits or licensing changes.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale infrastructure and virtualization transformation programs from planning through cutover, validation, and rollback.
• Drive high-visibility VMware migration initiatives and modernization.
• Collaborate with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and minimal disruption.

Job description

We are looking for experienced IT Project Manager to support large-scale infrastructure and virtualization transformation initiatives. The role will focus heavily on VMware, alternative hypervisor migrations, workload migration, infrastructure migration tooling, hybrid cloud environments, and enterprise data center transformation.

The #1 feature of this opportunity is the chance to lead a high-visibility VMware migration and modernization program driven by major technology and vendor changes. We are looking for a technically strong Project Manager who understands infrastructure and virtualization and can lead complex migrations from planning through cutover, validation, and rollback. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to large-scale enterprise transformation, hybrid-cloud environments, migration automation, and cross-functional technical leadership while working with client.

Contract Duration: 24 Months

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of IT Project Management experience, preferably within telecommunications, IT, or technology environments
• Strong experience with Azure DevOps, including Epics, Work Items, child tickets, and project/task tracking
• Hands‑on experience with patch scheduling, updates, and stakeholder communication
• Experience with platform/infrastructure migration tooling
• Experience working with compliance frameworks, automation tools, and dependency mapping in large-scale environments
• Strong understanding of virtualization and hypervisor architecture
• Experience with hypervisor design, performance tuning, and workload optimization following migration
• Experience managing data center, cloud, and hybrid environments
• Proven ability to manage infrastructure migrations across on‑premises, hybrid, and cloud platforms with minimal service disruption
• Strong risk, cutover, timeline, and vendor‑constraint management experience
• Experience leading accelerated migrations driven by vendor exits, licensing changes, or other external mandates
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or equivalent work experience

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification
