NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead large-scale VMware and alternate hypervisor migration initiatives. You will drive migration leadership, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure minimal service disruption during complex cutovers.

You bring deep virtualization expertise, hands-on migration delivery, and a proven track record in data center, hybrid, and cloud environments.

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead large-scale VMware and alternate hypervisor migration initiatives. This role is critical to supporting accelerated infrastructure migrations driven by vendor changes and licensing constraints.

The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on migration leadership, deep understanding of virtualization platforms, and proven experience managing complex cutovers with minimal service disruption.

What you will bring to the table as an IT Project Manager

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables aligned with strategic objectives
• Develop detailed project plans with clear milestones and timelines
• Coordinate internal and external teams for seamless execution
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost controls
• Track risks, issues, and dependencies; provide clear stakeholder updates
• Lead project status meetings, risk reviews, and post-implementation reviews
• Drive communication across cross-functional technical and business teams
• Apply Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall methodologies as appropriate
• Ensure compliance with project governance and PM standards

What We’re Looking For

• Alternate hypervisor migration experience
• Hands-on execution of workload migrations (planning, cutover, validation, rollback)
• Platform / infrastructure migration tooling
• Experience with migration frameworks, automation tools, and dependency mapping
• Strong understanding of virtualization & hypervisor architecture
• Performance tuning and workload optimization post-migration
• Data center, hybrid, and cloud environments
• Managing migrations without service disruption
• Risk, cutover, and timeline management under vendor-driven constraints
