Job summary

NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead complex migration programs across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments.

You will define scope, develop detailed plans, manage budgets, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery while applying Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably within the telecommunications, IT, or technology industries with lean on Industry 4.0
• Proven experience managing multiple, complex projects with high attention to detail and adherence to timelines
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management or equivalent work experience
• PMP certification or PRINCE2 certification (optional)

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that align with company's strategic objectives.
• Develop detailed project plans and schedules, ensuring clear milestones and deliverables.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure flawless execution of projects.
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure project costs remain within approved limits.
• Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues, providing updates to stakeholders.
• Lead regular project meetings, including status reviews, risk assessments, and post-mortems.
• Drive effective communication across cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients.
• Apply Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall methodologies to manage projects, depending on project needs.
• Ensure compliance with project management guidelines and governance.

Job description

• Strong hands-on experience with VMware virtualization environments and enterprise infrastructure.
• Proven experience migrating workloads from VMware to alternate hypervisors/platforms.
• Experience managing the full migration lifecycle, including planning, cutover, validation, troubleshooting, and rollback.
• Hands-on experience with migration tools, automation frameworks, and dependency mapping in large-scale environments.
• Deep understanding of virtualization architecture, performance tuning, capacity planning, and post-migration optimization.
• Experience managing migrations across on-premises data centers, hybrid cloud, and cloud environments with minimal service disruption.
• Strong technical leadership, risk management, and cutover planning experience, particularly for accelerated or deadline-driven migration programs.
