Cimarron Software Services, Inc. is seeking a mid-level IT Project Manager to support the Missile Defense Agency on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO or at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL.

The role requires guiding Agile adoption, managing cross-functional teams, budgets, and schedules, and ensuring timely, quality deliverables in a security-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of general, full-time work experience.
• 3+ years of direct IT project management experience, including high-dollar projects.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and emerging technologies.
• Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify challenges.
• Establish project governance and communication protocols.
• Guide and support Agile adoption and mindset.
• Lead and manage geographically dispersed project teams.
• Maintain day-to-day execution of tasks, sprints, and schedules.
• Coordinate and facilitate project meetings with clear action items.
• Monitor progress and address deviations from plan.
• Track budgets and expenditures per guidelines.
• Develop mitigation strategies for risks and issues.
• Use Agile/Waterfall to manage projects effectively.
• Maintain project artifacts and deliverables for execution.
• Communicate status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Build relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
• Serve as liaison between IT and business units.
• Ensure on-time, high-quality deliverables.
• Conduct project closure and knowledge transfer.
• Document lessons learned and present reports to management.
