Job summary

LaunchTech is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for Operations and Maintenance to support the Missile Defense Agency on the IRES contract. This in-office role is based at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO or Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL with an on-call rotation.

You will diagnose complex network issues, deliver Tier III support, and collaborate with engineers and project managers to maintain secure, high-availability enterprise services for the defense network.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of general full-time work experience.
• 5+ years of directly related network experience.
• 6+ months in a management or leadership role.
• Experience with IP protocols (DNS, HTTP, SMTP, SSL) and multiple network types (LAN, WAN, VxLAN, SDN).
• Proficient in routing/switching: BGP, OSPF, STP, TCP/UDP, VPN/VRF, DHCP, DNS, SD-WAN, SD-Access, ISE, DNAC.
• Experience with Cisco, Palo Alto devices and KG-175 encryptors.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier III support for the MDA Enterprise and coordinate with leads and engineers.
• Participate in Battle Rhythms and routine maintenance checks.
• Generate status reports, analyze network anomalies, and support engineering changes.
• Serve as O&M expert on outage or troubleshooting bridge calls.
• Manage incidents and work orders in Remedy ITSM system.
• Join an on-call rotation for after-hours network support.
