Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate enterprise-level data migration initiatives. This individual will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, risk management, stakeholder communication, and successful delivery of data migration projects involving legacy systems, databases, applications, and business-critical data.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing cross-functional teams, coordinating technical resources, and ensuring data integrity, security, and minimal business disruption throughout migration activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data migration projects, including project planning, scope management, scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination.
• Manage migration activities involving databases, applications, cloud environments, ERP systems, and enterprise platforms.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, infrastructure teams, developers, DBAs, security teams, vendors, and third-party partners to ensure project alignment and successful execution.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, RAID logs, status reports, and executive-level communications.
• Facilitate migration strategy discussions, including data mapping, validation, cleansing, transformation, testing, and cutover planning.
• Monitor project risks, dependencies, and issues, proactively driving mitigation and resolution activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of Project Management experience leading IT infrastructure, application, or data migration projects.
• Strong understanding of data migration methodologies, ETL processes, database concepts, and system integrations.
• Proven experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or ServiceNow
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in fast-paced environments.
