Job summary

Rippling is seeking a Product Design Lead for the IT domain to shape an AI-native platform that unifies identity, devices, inventory, and governance across the Rippling stack. You’ll translate complex IT workflows into clear, scalable experiences used by admins, security teams, CIOs, and employees.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of end-to-end product design experience shipping complex, high-impact products.
• Portfolio demonstrating strong product judgment, systems thinking, and craft.
• Experience designing technically complex products with deep workflows, permissions, edge cases, platform dependencies, or enterprise-grade controls.
• Technical curiosity and fluency, including comfort working with engineers on AI systems and related concepts.
• Strong interaction and visual design skills with ability to move between vision and execution.
• Relentless customer focus with domain expertise from research and customer feedback.
• Excellent communication and storytelling, from async writing to presentations.
• High ownership and bias toward action, shipping coherent experiences quickly.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term design vision for Rippling IT, evolving a set of product areas into a cohesive AI-native platform.
• Work at multiple altitudes: shape domain strategy, identify high-leverage customer problems, influence roadmaps, and sweat end-to-end details.
• Lead design for new product bets from discovery through product-market fit with customer insight and fast iteration.
• Design holistic experiences for IT admins, security teams, CIOs, and employees, balancing control with usability.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to translate ambiguous problems into simple, powerful experiences.
• Define patterns and interaction models to make Rippling IT cohesive and scalable across products.
• Use AI and prototyping tools to accelerate exploration and prototype new IT workflows.
