King County Department Of Information Technology (KCIT) is seeking an IT Portfolio Delivery Team Manager to lead a team of IT program and project managers in our PMO. The ideal candidate will bring expert knowledge of IT program management, Agile and traditional methods, and a proven track record coaching senior technical staff.

The role reports to the Principal IT PMO Manager and helps manage KCIT’s enterprise portfolio of technology programs and projects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing IT Program/Project Managers as direct reports.
• 7+ years as an IT Project/Program Manager or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of project management principles and techniques.
• Experience with waterfall, Agile/Scrum, and hybrid delivery models.
• Experience leading vendor sourcing, negotiation, and contracting activities.

Responsabilités

• Project Delivery - ensure visibility of progress and KPI reporting; audit data and mitigate issues.
• Resource Management - define PM allocations to meet project requirements.
• Growth and Development - identify development needs and track progress of PMs.
• Support KCIT portfolio of active/planned/manged projects (CapEx/OpEx).
• Drive KPI reporting and Visual Management to improve engagement and productivity.
• Roll out and optimize Project and Portfolio Management tool (Planview PPM Pro).
• Develop processes for enterprise-wide project prioritization.
• Collaborate with KCIT Customer Success Managers to align priorities and resources.
• Mentor and develop PMO team members; recruit and onboard new members.
• Ensure delivery aligned with KCIT’s PM Delivery Framework; escalate impediments.
