Job summary

KLS Martin in the United States seeks a Manager, IT Project Management to lead a small team of Project Managers and own the IT project portfolio. The role combines hands-on delivery with coaching to mature project practices across IT and the business.

You will set delivery standards, oversee intake, prioritization, and capacity planning, and report portfolio health to IT leadership. Collaboration with stakeholders and adherence to regulatory standards are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
8+ years of progressive project management experience in IT.
Experience leading PMO or project management function preferred.
Experience in regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

Build and lead the project management team with hiring, onboarding, objective setting, performance management, coaching, and career development.
Set and enforce the delivery standard expected of Project Managers, including scope shaping and active delivery leadership on projects.
Own the IT project portfolio, including intake, prioritization, sequencing, capacity planning, and assignment of work across the team.
Maintain portfolio transparency by reporting status, trends, financial performance, and benefits to IT leadership and sponsors; escalate risks and resource constraints.
Lead high priority or strategically sensitive initiatives and coach Project Managers through real delivery situations.
