Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an IT PMO Manager to lead the PMO within the CIO organization at HII Mission Technologies. The role focuses on portfolio oversight, governance, and enabling delivery excellence across IT initiatives.

The candidate will mentor PMs and BAs, drive Agile adoption, and partner with Finance, HR, Contracts, and Architecture to align projects with strategic priorities. Hybrid schedule preferred in Northern Virginia area.

Qualifications

PMP certification required.
8+ years leading project/program teams.
5+ years supporting IT organizations or equivalent experience.
Experience maturing a PMO, not just operating within one.
Experience driving Agile adoption and culture change.
Strong leadership coaching PMs and teams.
Experience with portfolio oversight, governance, and exec reporting.
Proficiency with Jira and Microsoft Project.

Responsibilities

Provide portfolio-wide oversight of IT projects and initiatives.
Lead, mentor, and develop PMs and BAs through coaching and performance management.
Drive PMO maturation initiatives: governance, Agile adoption, and operational excellence.
Facilitate project reviews and governance meetings; escalate risks and dependencies.
Collaborate with CIO, Finance, HR, Contracts, and other leaders to align priorities and resources.
Establish and improve PM standards, reporting, templates, and governance processes.
Monitor performance, milestones, budgets, and capacity for strategic initiatives.
Lead high-complexity projects within the portfolio when needed.
Utilize Jira, MS Project, and PMO tools for execution and reporting.
Maintain clarity and direction in a fast-paced, changing environment.
