ASM Research is seeking an IT Services Senior Manager to direct enterprise IT activities and lead staff, ensuring continuity of services across infrastructure, cloud, and applications. You will align IT with business needs, drive improvements, and manage budgets with a focus on security and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 7–10 years in IT and 5+ years in staff leadership, plus a current DoD 8140-compliant security posture.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 7-10 years of experience in Information Technology.
• 5+ years of experience managing IT staff.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial and open-source computer, network, telecom, hosted, and cloud hardware, software, and service offerings.
• Demonstrated ability to manage a matrixed workforce and drive collaboration across teams to meet department or contract objectives.
• Proven ability to identify, diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex technical and operational issues and implement corrective strategies.
• Strong analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess alternatives and determine effective courses of action.
• Ability to think long-term, establish achievable action plans, and apply new technology knowledge to improve services and outcomes.
• Candidates must have a current security clearance and meet DoD 8140 compliance standard (minimum of Security+ cert)

Aufgaben

• Lead IT-related activities across infrastructure, applications, networks, cloud services, virtualization, databases, backup/recovery, security, and compliance.
• Ensure continuity of computer, network, and application services through technical leadership, project coordination, service planning, and oversight.
• Align IT services with business processes and customer requirements while promoting best practices and continuous service improvement.
• Perform technical analysis, effort estimation, design review, architectural fit assessment, compliance evaluation, resource planning, milestone management, and quality oversight.
• Forecast costs, software, hardware, equipment, and personnel needs for IT projects and operations; prepare budgets and reports.
• Recommend and implement hardware and software upgrades for business applications and IT assets.
• Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, procedures, and standards to strengthen service delivery, security, and effectiveness.
• Audit systems, ensure data/network security, and maintain backup/recovery readiness.
• Identify operational issues, analyze root causes, and implement strategic solutions to improve procedures, communications, and efficiency.
• Prepare short- and long-range systems plans and oversee feasibility studies; validate implementation through monitoring and audits.
• Analyze complex business/user needs and recommend solutions that support maintainability and quality across apps.
• Lead, mentor, and manage staff, including recruiting, timecards, performance reviews, coaching, and policy enforcement.
