Job summary

University of the District of Columbia seeks an Information Technology Pathway Director to oversee IT programming development, implementation, evaluation, and monitoring within the Workforce Development division. The role reports to the Associate Dean and guides the IT Pathway to meet stakeholder needs.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets, build employer partnerships, and ensure compliance with university directives while advancing student success and program excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent technical degree.
  • Five years working in IT as a project manager, supervisor, and/or IT trainer/educator.
  • Five+ years in IT, preferably in education/training.
  • Three years operational/program/project management experience.
  • Three years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, management, and delivery of large IT certification programs.
  • Monitor industry trends and align programs with workforce needs.
  • Schedule courses, assign facilities, and maximize room utilization.
  • Supervise pathway staff and conduct performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and manage employer partnerships.
  • Develop new workforce education initiatives and oversee budgeting.
  • Provide data-driven program improvements and customer service.
  • Directly address student issues and implement district directives.
