Job summary

New-Indy Containerboard seeks an ITOT Infrastructure Architect to design, engineer, and evolve enterprise infrastructure across compute, storage, network, and cloud. This role blends hands-on engineering with architectural oversight to support NICB's 24/7/365 manufacturing facilities in North America.

The candidate will lead projects, mentor staff, and collaborate with Enterprise IT & OT teams to ensure scalable, secure infrastructure and effective disaster recovery and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in IT, business, or equivalent tech experience.
• Strong documentation, organizational, and customer service focus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Experience supporting 24x7 manufacturing environments.
• Extensive MS Office application support experience.
• Familiarity with ITIL change management and MOC processes.
• 15+ years designing/managing enterprise IT infrastructure; SME for large projects.
• Proven experience in enterprise infrastructure systems development.
• Deep experience with Microsoft server OS and virtualization (VMware).
• Knowledge of hardware, networking, and system administration.
• Server hardware (HPE, Dell) and iSCSI storage expertise.
• Hyperconverged infrastructure experience (VXRail, SimpliVity).
• High-speed Ethernet (1/10/25/40/100Gbps).
• Server backup experience; strong research capability.
• Ability to learn quickly and present ideas clearly.
• Self-motivated, analytical, and able to work under pressure.
• Team-oriented mindset with data privacy awareness.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Resolve IT/OT infrastructure tickets and problems; determine root causes.
• Design, implement, and maintain on-premises and cloud infrastructures.
• Lead infrastructure governance, planning, and documentation.
• Oversee deployments, vendor relations, and proactive capacity planning.
• Manage multi-site 24/7 operations across North America.
• Coordinate patching, security hardening, and change control.
• Guide and mentor ITOT infrastructure team; ensure compliance and audits.
