Brain Co. is seeking an IT Engineer to manage IT and workplace operations at our San Francisco office. You’ll keep the office running, handling AV/conferencing, devices, and vendor relations, while onboarding new hires and managing systems access in Okta in collaboration with Security & IT.

You’ll work independently, own your area end-to-end, and grow with the company as we expand to new offices and enhance security and compliance. This role reports to Sr. IT Manager in a hybrid SF setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT support or workplace operations.
• Hands-on Okta experience for user provisioning and access control.
• Experience configuring AV and conferencing systems.
• Experience with onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Strong customer-service mindset and clear communication.
• Ability to work independently and own a scope end-to-end.
• Comfortable handling office IT hardware and cables.
• Willing to work from SF office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT operations for the SF office: AV/conferencing, network, devices, and vendors.
• Serve as the first IT contact for SF-based employees and triage issues.
• Run onboarding and offboarding end-to-end, set up access and devices.
• Ensure new hires have laptops and accounts ready on day one.
• Manage Okta: user setup, groups, MFA, access requests with Security/IT.
• Lead physical installs such as AV setups and network drops.
• Collaborate with infrastructure engineer on larger projects and security.
• Assist with compliance workflows like SOC 2 access reviews as needed.
