Job summary

Brain Co. in San Francisco seeks an IT Engineer to manage IT and workplace operations. You’ll own AV and conferencing systems, office equipment, vendor management, and daily Okta access.

This hands-on role blends people support with systems work, and you’ll partner with our Security & IT team to keep onboarding, devices, and access smooth. You’ll work 3 days a week in the SF office and grow with the company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT support, workplace operations or a similar hybrid role.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT operations for SF office: AV and conferencing systems, network, office equipment, supplies, and vendors.
• Be the first IT contact for SF-based employees: triage hardware/software issues, manage devices from setup to retirement, keep people productive.
• Run onboarding and offboarding end to end, coordinate with People/HR on timing, set up and remove access, ensure laptops and accounts are ready on day one.
• Make new hires feel welcomed on their first day.
• Manage daily Okta access for SF staff: user setup, groups, MFA, access requests; coordinate with central Security & IT on policy.
• Lead physical installs like AV setups and network drops; coordinate with core infra engineer.
• As we grow, help launch new offices, take on SOC 2 access reviews, and potentially lead a small IT team.
