Job summary

Brain Co. is hiring an IT Engineer to manage IT and workplace operations at its San Francisco office. You’ll keep the office running, support employees, manage AV/conferencing systems, devices, and vendor relations, and handle daily Okta access with the central Security & IT team.

This hands-on role blends people support with systems management. You’ll own your area from start to finish, with opportunities to grow as the company expands and opens new offices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT support, workplace operations or a similar hybrid role.
• Hands-on Okta experience and ability to manage user setup, groups, MFA and access troubleshooting without a runbook.
• Experience setting up and fixing AV and conferencing systems and general office IT hardware.
• Proven onboarding and offboarding experience: devices ready, access in place, day one handled.

Responsibilities

• Manage IT operations for the SF office: AV and conferencing systems, corporate network, office equipment, supplies, and the vendors behind them.
• Be the first stop for IT help for SF-based employees: triage hardware and software issues, manage devices from setup to retirement, and keep people productive.
• Run onboarding and offboarding end to end with People/HR coordination for system access and equipment readiness.
• Lead daily systems access in Okta for SF staff and coordinate with Security & IT on policies and escalations.
• Oversee installation work (AV, network drops) and collaborate with the infrastructure engineer on purchases and deployments.
• As the company grows, help launch new offices and potentially build a small IT support team, with focus on SOC 2 access reviews and security.
