Job summary

Premier Roofing is seeking an IT Operations Manager to own the platforms that support our 200–320 staff across 14 locations. You will manage the network, identity and access, device management, phones, security, cloud and web infrastructure.

You will lead IT support from help desk to onboarding, handle escalations, and participate in after-hours on-call. The role requires a seasoned generalist comfortable owning problems end-to-end and documenting processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT systems administration at a small or mid-sized company.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, switches and Wi-Fi across multiple sites.
• Deep Google Workspace administration experience.
• Mobile device management at scale; MaaS360 is a plus, but Intune/Jamf count.
• Security fundamentals: endpoint protection, patching, MFA and SSO.
• Experience leading or mentoring at least one person and vendor escalations.
• Able to run a help desk queue while handling projects and after-hours on-call.
• Clear writing for documentation and non-technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Run IT operations day to day, set priorities, manage help desk targets and on-call schedule.
• Lead IT support including help desk and onboarding; handle escalations and after-hours calls.
• Set up IT processes for incidents, requests, changes and asset lifecycle.
• Manage vendors (Granite, MetTel, RingCentral, security, hardware) and renewal recommendations.
• Draft and maintain IT policies and an annual infrastructure plan; report monthly on operations.
• Run network across 14 locations including firewalls, switches, Wi‑Fi, remote access and branch openings.
• Administer Google Workspace; support Microsoft 365 and Entra ID as we phase them out.
• Own device management in MaaS360 for Windows, Macs, iPads, Android; coordinate with vendors.
• Own security operations (Huntress, vulnerability scans, training, incident response).
• Run phone, web and cloud services (RingCentral, Cloudflare, DNS, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, AWS security).
• Automate onboarding/offboarding from Rippling into Google Workspace, MaaS360, RingCentral; review access quarterly.
• Keep runbooks, network documentation and disaster recovery current.
