Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer II to manage secure, highly available computing platforms, servers and networks. You will install, upgrade and improve the operating environment, monitor systems, respond to incidents and participate in on-call rotations.

The role includes designing, deploying and testing server OSes, networks and related hardware, while ensuring security, data integrity and disaster recovery readiness across multi-cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.
• 5 years IT experience in a multi-site, multi-platform environment.
• Insurance industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical projects or mentor junior staff.
• Install, configure, and maintain server OS and networks.
• Ensure security, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support as needed.
