Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield Global Solutions is seeking an Application Operations Support Manager in a hands-on leadership role. You will guide a small team, manage incidents, and drive automation to ensure the reliability of enterprise applications.

The role requires strong IT operations experience, SOP development, and expertise with MS SQL Server, Power Platform, and Microsoft 365. Hybrid work options and competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT operations or application support.
• 1–2 years in a team lead or supervisory role.
• Experience developing SOPs and operational documentation.
• Experience mapping dependencies and data flows across systems.
• Experience in health insurance, healthcare or financial services.
• Working knowledge of MS SQL Server, including SSRS/SSIS.
• Hands-on with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Power Platform.
• Strong communication for non-technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or equivalent.
• Minimum internet speed of 75 Mbps.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day availability, performance and stability of enterprise applications.
• Lead and mentor a small team of application support specialists.
• Handle incidents, problems and change processes with RCA.
• Develop and maintain SOPs for health checks, security and KPIs.
• Map dependencies, integrations and data flows to protect continuity.
• Coordinate and support SaaS platforms like ServiceNow and Workday.
• Identify automation opportunities to improve reliability.
• Report on health, incidents and KPIs to IT leadership.
• Ensure security/compliance requirements are met.
• Write PowerShell scripts to automate monitoring tasks.
