Job summary

Compeer Financial seeks an IT Operations Intern to support service-management, reporting, asset-management, and process-improvement activities. You’ll work under guidance with seasoned professionals, gaining exposure to end-user support, service delivery, knowledge management, and incident management.

The role develops technical, professional, and business skills while contributing to data-driven decision-making. This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027 at the Lakeville, MN office.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, MIS, Business, Data Analytics, CS, or related field.
• Strong proficiency with MS Office apps (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Ability to analyze data, organize information, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems, IT asset management, service management, workflow tools, or reporting platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated curiosity, learning agility, and customer-service mindset.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and follow through on commitments.
• Commitment to protecting confidential information and following policies.

Responsibilities

• Support well-defined IT Operations assignments under guidance with focus on quality and documentation.
• Gather, validate, and organize operational data for reports, dashboards, trends, and asset records.
• Maintain documentation, runbooks, knowledge articles, and service catalogs.
• Assist with IT asset-management and configuration-management activities.
• Track work items, remediation plans, and supporting evidence for audits and risks.
• Participate in incident, problem, change, and request-management processes.
• Identify opportunities to reduce manual work and improve reporting and documentation.
• Use AI tools responsibly to assist analysis while maintaining human accountability.
• Collaborate with Service Delivery, Infrastructure, Security, and partners to achieve goals.
• Seek feedback and grow technically and professionally.
