Job summary

Alabama Space is seeking an IT Operations Help Desk professional in Huntsville, AL, for a full-time, hourly role. You will be the first point of contact for employees, troubleshooting hardware, software, accounts, and connectivity issues, and escalate complex problems as needed.

Responsibilities include documenting requests, configuring desktops/laptops, supporting Windows and Mac OS, Microsoft 365, email, and file access, and maintaining user guides.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of hands-on Windows/Mac support experience.
• CompTIA A+ certification preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for technical assistance with computers, software, user accounts, printers, peripherals, network connectivity, and other supported technology.
• Receive, document, prioritize, track, and resolve support requests per procedures; maintain accurate issue records.
• Install and configure desktops/laptops, Windows and Mac OS, and business applications.
• Provide basic user-account support, including password resets and MFA assistance.
• Assist users with Microsoft 365, email, file access, and collaboration tools.
• Prepare equipment for new employees and replacements, including OS/software installation and testing.
• Maintain hardware/software inventory records and assist with preventive maintenance.
