Job summary

Fortra is seeking an onsite IT support specialist to troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technology requests. You will maintain core IT services, manage endpoints, and ensure secure onboarding and access control for staff.

The role involves working with diverse teams to implement updates, deliver user training, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery and operations. A strong customer-service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in an enterprise IT/technical support role.
• Proficiency with Windows, macOS, Linux, office suites, and common apps.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 admin, AD, Exchange, MFA and Azure.
• Good networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with remote support tools like TeamViewer.
• Certs such as CompTIA A+/Network+ or Azure fundamentals are desirable.
• Ability to explain complex IT concepts clearly to varied audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite IT support resource with timely troubleshooting and escalation.
• Support core IT infrastructure services including DNS, SSO, VMs, networking, and printing.
• Administer EUC tools, device management, software deployment, and ticketing systems.
• Manage workstation lifecycle: provisioning, imaging, deployment, maintenance, upgrades, retirement.
• Ensure licensing compliance and apply OS/app/security updates per policies.
• Act as SME within Service Desk, mentoring and guiding colleagues.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, mobile devices, collaboration tools and apps.
• Handle user accounts, identity management, onboarding/offboarding securely.
• Deliver new hire tech orientations and user training to boost productivity.
• Collaborate with Infra, Security, DevOps, Cloud to resolve issues and enable initiatives.
• Provide onsite support for conference rooms, AV, and workplace tech.
• Identify process improvements and automate routine tasks to raise efficiency.
