Job summary

Coast Guard Community Services Command is seeking an IT Network Specialist to provide frontline Helpdesk support at our Chesapeake, VA headquarters. You’ll troubleshoot systems, networks, and user issues, and assist with workstations and server administration.

Ideal candidates have an Associate’s in IT and hands-on experience with Windows environments, AD, VPNs, and basic security configurations, with a customer-first approach.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Associate degree in IT or closely related field with two years of helpdesk experience.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including holidays, weekends, and evenings.
• Experience with Windows servers/workstations, AD, VPN, firewalls, POS systems, and MS Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT Helpdesk support as the first line of contact via ticketing, phone, email, and walk-in.
• Administer and troubleshoot workstations and servers, install security configurations.
• Monitor systems, diagnose issues, and coordinate with users to resolve IT problems.
• Perform related duties and contribute to customer service excellence.
