Job summary

Petra Construction Corporation in North Haven, CT, seeks an experienced IT Manager to administer and secure the company’s technology environment. You will oversee Windows Server, VMware ESXi, Active Directory, and Exchange, while driving cybersecurity and end-user computing initiatives.

Lead technical teams, manage projects, and coordinate with non-technical stakeholders. This full-time, in-office role may require travel to CT project sites and after-hours maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma/GED required.
• Experience managing Windows Server environments, AD, Group Policy, VMware/ESXi, TCP/IP networking, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, firewall, and backups.
• Experience supporting mobile devices and MDM platforms.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, cybersecurity, virtualization, and enterprise hardware.
• Microsoft/VMware certifications preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and respond during outages.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support the company’s technology environment, including networks, servers, VMware, AD, and Exchange.
• Ensure security, maintenance, and strategic support of technology infrastructure and business systems.
• Provide senior-level technical leadership and reliable end-user computing support.
• Coordinate outage response and emergency maintenance; communicate with technical and non-technical staff.
