Qualifications

• Expertise in small to midsize business IT infrastructure configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Windows Server OS, Hyper-V and VMware.
• Experience with O365/SharePoint/Azure and on-prem Exchange; cloud migrations.
• Strong networking: routing, switching, VLANs; firewall and VPN.
• VoIP exposure; security/compliance projects (NIST 800-171, CMMC, PCI).
• 5+ years in IT consulting/MSP space; strong communication.

IT Project Engineer

Our Hartford based client is seeking a well rounded engineer that brings in depth experience with small to midsize business IT infrastructure. In this position you will work on key projects and serve as a top tier escalation. Salary range $100,000 - $120,000 + yearly bonuses and strong benefits and paid overtime Location, Glastonbury CT area - on site role with remote capabilities when working through projects. This role is client facing, traveling in CT and western MA to client sites for projects is required.

Responsibilities

• Take lead and work through various client facing projects including network and server builds/upgrades, cloud migrations (email to O365), security and compliance projects (CMMC 2.0, NIST 800-171, PCI, FTC), virtualization (Hyper - V) projects, firewall configuration and upgrades
• Perform ongoing support to clientele and serve as a top tier escalation
• Install and maintain VoIP solutions

Qualifications

• Expert level small to midsize business IT infrastructure configuration, integration, and troubleshooting experience
• Strong experience with Windows server OS, Hyper-V and VMWare
• Experience with O365 email, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure, on-prem Exchange Server Configuration, and cloud migrations
• Strong networking experience, routing, switching, VLANS
• Advanced Firewall and VPN configuration experience
• Prior VoIP exposure
• Prior experience taking part in, or leading client facing security and compliance projects including NIST 800-171, CMMC, PCI
• 5+ years of working experience working within the IT consulting/MSP space
• Very strong communication and collaboration skills required
