Job summary

Reconnaissance Resources, LLC seeks an experienced IT leader to oversee enterprise Windows, VMware, and cybersecurity operations in the New York metro area. You will manage Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, GPOs, and VMware vSphere environments.

The role requires strong vendor coordination, executive support, and hands-on scripting in PowerShell. A Bachelor’s in Computer Science and at least 5 years of IT management experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in IT management with client contact.
• Strong knowledge of networking hardware and software (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Exchange.
• Experience with VMware virtualization and Veeam backup solutions.
• Ability to develop and maintain automations with PowerShell.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred knowledge in IT service delivery and vendor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and purchase hardware and software in collaboration with leadership.
• Provide hands-on support for system design, installations, and upgrades across environments.
• Manage Windows Server environments (2012–2022) and AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs.
• Architect and manage VMware vSphere environments with many virtual servers.
• Oversee Veeam Backup & Replication and Veeam ONE for backup and DR.
• Manage system upgrades across Windows OS, VMware, and security tools.
• Implement cybersecurity strategies including SIEM and MFA.
• Administer Microsoft 365 and Entra ID licensing and policies.
• Coordinate with vendors for upgrades and penetration testing.
• Provide executive-level support and escalation for IT teams.
• Lead IT operations for relocations and large-scale migrations.
• Develop PowerShell and DOS scripts to automate tasks.
