Job summary

Prowess Consulting, a technology consultancy, seeks an IT Manager to lead internal technology operations, budgeting, vendors, and a small team. The role reports to the CISO and covers identity, endpoint, and backup practices in a cloud-first environment.

The position is full-time and remote within the United States, with collaboration across Pacific Time zones and two primary sites. Candidates must meet compliance standards and AI readiness expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or a related field highly desired.
• Progressively responsible IT operations experience with small teams and vendors.
• Experience supporting corporate IT infrastructure and business applications.
• Experience leading system implementations, migrations, upgrades, and operational improvements.
• Experience with M365 administration, ISO, SOC, and GDPR required.
• Experience implementing generative AI or automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the internal technology operations and a small team.
• Own budgeting, vendors, hiring, and internal platforms.
• Oversee security and compliance controls (ISO27001, SOC2 II, HIPAA, GDPR).
• Manage identity, access, endpoint fleet, and backups/restores.
• Ensure security operations, incident response, and documentation.
