Job summary

Prowess Consulting seeks an IT Manager to lead our internal technology operations. You will report to the CISO, run a small team, manage budgeting, vendors, and the internal platforms our people build on, and own security controls.

This full-time, remote-friendly role requires cloud, AI, and compliance expertise, with ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and GDPR experience. You will shape platform-centered IT across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field desired.
• Progressively responsible IT experience expected.
• Experience managing small teams, vendors, projects, and tech teams.
• Experience supporting corporate IT infrastructure and business apps.
• Experience leading system implementations, migrations, upgrades, and improvements.
• Experience with M365 administration, ISO, SOC, and GDPR required.
• Experience implementing generative AI or automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the help desk for a distributed workforce across two primary sites and remote workers.
• Oversee Microsoft 365 services: Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Intune, Purview, Defender.
• Manage identity and access: onboarding/offboarding, access changes, roles, privileged controls.
• Oversee endpoint fleet: procurement, build standards, configuration, patching, disposal.
• Handle vendors, contracts, licensing, and asset management.
• Ensure business continuity for internal systems: backups and tested recovery.
• Lead security operations: vulnerability monitoring, logging, incident response.
• Drive projects and documentation to enable others to operate the platform.
