Job summary

Klaasmeyer Construction Company seeks a Technical IT Manager to lead the Technology team and stay hands-on with network infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, and automation. You’ll mentor a small IT staff and drive critical technical initiatives across office and field sites.

This hands‑on leadership role partners with field operations, delivering secure, reliable technology that directly impacts construction workflows.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on IT experience with 1–2 years in a lead/supervisory role
• Deep firewall and network security experience with enterprise firewalls (WatchGuard) and VPNs
• Strong wireless networking background with multi-site SSID/VLAN configuration
• Strong DNS, subnets, IP routing, and VPN fundamentals
• Windows OS troubleshooting, imaging, deployment, and light Windows Server administration
• Ability to write functional automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Experience with vulnerability management platforms (Tenable) and endpoint security
• Google Workspace administration
• Practical AI and automation integration experience
• CCNA, CompTIA Security+, CISSP or related certifications preferred
• 100% on-site, no remote option

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small IT team, manage ticketing workflows and priorities while staying hands-on
• Administer and optimize network infrastructure across office and field locations
• Manage systems environments (Google Workspace, Windows Server, Windows, Unix/Linux) and full endpoint lifecycle
• Drive vulnerability management program and enforce security best practices
• Write automation scripts and integrate AI tools to improve throughput
• Support field site connectivity and job-site networks
• Serve as primary escalation point for outages, incidents, and security events, reporting to CTO
