Job summary

Klaasmeyer Construction Company is seeking a Technical IT Manager to lead the Technology team while remaining hands-on with network infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, and automation. You will mentor a small IT team, optimize multi-site networks, and drive security and automation initiatives.

The role requires 7+ years in IT with leadership experience, deep firewall/network security skills, and proficiency in scripting and AI automation.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on IT experience with 1–2 years in a lead role
• Hands-on administration of enterprise firewalls (WatchGuard) and VPNs
• Strong wireless networking with multi-site SSID/VLAN config
• DNS, subnets, IP routing, and VPN fundamentals
• Windows OS proficiency and light Windows Server administration
• Ability to write functional automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Experience with vulnerability management platforms (Tenable)
• Google Workspace administration experience
• Practical AI and automation integration experience
• CCNA, CompTIA Security+, CISSP or related certifications preferred
• 100% on-site, no remote option

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small IT team, manage tickets and priorities while hands-on
• Administer and optimize network infrastructure across locations
• Manage systems environments (Google Workspace, Windows Server, Unix/Linux) and endpoints
• Drive vulnerability management programs and security best practices
• Write automation scripts and integrate AI tools to reduce repetitive work
• Support field site connectivity and keep job-site networks running
• Serve as escalation point for outages, incidents, and security events, reporting to CTO
