Job summary

TerraPower in Bellevue, WA, seeks an IT Manager to lead a team responsible for maintaining and optimizing the enterprise application portfolio, primarily commercial off-the-shelf software on Windows with some Red Hat Enterprise Linux. This leader bridges technology and business across engineering, operations, finance, supply chain and corporate functions.

The IT Manager will supervise up to eight systems engineers and analysts, handling hiring, onboarding, performance, and career development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in IT or related field.
• 38 years of experience managing technology resources and teams.
• Experience supporting or implementing commercial off-the-shelf enterprise applications.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows Server environments and ecosystem (AD, IIS, SQL Server, patching).
• Familiarity with Linux administration concepts (RHEL) and leading teams supporting Linux-hosted apps.
• Solid grasp of incident/change management, environment strategy, releases, integrations, and authentication.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team of up to eight systems engineers and analysts.
• Own hiring, onboarding, performance management, and career development for the team.
• Balance workload across priorities and provide delivery updates to stakeholders.
• Create conditions for effective work including clear ownership and on-call readiness.
• Own the portfolio of COTS applications including availability, patching, licensing, and lifecycle planning.
• Plan and execute application upgrades/migrations with testing and communication.
• Lead implementations and enhancements from requirements to deployment.
• Manage software vendors and integrators, ensuring scope and contracts are met.
• Build relationships with department leaders and establish service levels to reduce friction.
• Ensure changes follow change management, documentation, and quality requirements.
• Support compliance with records management, export controls, cyber security, and audit readiness.
