Job summary

The Town of Mount Pleasant IT Department is seeking an Applications Manager to lead the implementation, administration, support, security, and continuous improvement of the town's enterprise and business applications. You will collaborate with departments, vendors, and IT staff to translate business needs into reliable technology solutions and manage projects, upgrades, and releases.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3 years of enterprise application administration or management experience.
Experience coordinating projects, releases, vendors, and business requirements.
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Valid South Carolina Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Oversee full lifecycle of mission-critical applications including upgrades and retirement.
Monitor availability, security, and performance; lead outages and preventive improvements.
Troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate escalations with stakeholders.
Coordinate project plans, testing, deployment, and change management.
Develop documentation, reports, dashboards, and BI solutions.
Collaborate with vendors and IT staff to continuously improve applications.
