Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an IT Procurement Analyst, Software & Licensing to manage technology licensing inventories, audit invoices, reconcile usage with client billing, and coordinate renewals in a managed-services setting. The role focuses on MS365, Azure, and Cisco licensing with emphasis on cost optimization and compliance.

The ideal candidate will bring software licensing or IT asset management experience, strong Excel and reporting skills, and vendor-management capabilities to drive cost

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in M365 software licensing, software asset management, IT procurement, technology sourcing, vendor management
• Azure and Cisco licensing experience is a plus and knowledge of licensing structures is important
• Experience maintaining license inventories, quantities, utilization, costs, vendors, and renewal dates
• Auditing vendor invoices against contracts, POs, or product usage; reconciling licenses and client billing
• Identifying billing discrepancies, duplicate charges, unauthorized costs, and missed revenue
• Experience tracking renewals and supporting licensing compliance, audits, or true-ups
• Heavy Excel experience and MSP environment exposure

Responsibilities

• Maintaining an accurate inventory of software, hardware, and technology licenses
• Tracking vendors, license quantities, utilization, pricing, costs, and renewal dates
• Reviewing vendor invoices against contracts and product orders
• Investigating invoice discrepancies and requesting credits or corrections
• Comparing vendor license counts against client billing records
• Partnering with Finance and Billing to correct billing variances
• Managing vendor orders, cancellations, and related assets
• Monitoring upcoming renewals and notifying internal stakeholders
• Coordinating client order forms before licenses renew
• Supporting licensing audits, compliance activities, and vendor true-ups
• Analyzing spend, usage, pricing tiers, product margins, discounts, and rebates
• Creating reports and forecasts for licensing costs and renewal schedules
• Supporting month-end reconciliation of vendor costs, product revenue, accruals, and COGS
• Serving as an operational contact between vendors, Procurement, Finance, Billing, Account Management, and Strategic Technology Advisors
