Job summary

Dean Transportation is seeking an IT Intern to assist staff with support issues by phone, email and in-person. This on-site role requires you to be based in the Lansing area or willing to relocate and commute to our office daily.

You will help set up and troubleshoot computers and software, handle basic hardware such as printers and phones, and document requests in the help desk system as you gain experience across the IT department.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or technical IT program.
• Basic understanding of Windows OS, networking, and Microsoft 365.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced IT environment.
• Availability to work on-site in Lansing, MI.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support to staff by phone, email, and in-person.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Assist with setup and maintenance of workstations, printers, and mobile devices.
• Document support requests and resolutions in the help desk system.
• Support onboarding of new employees with technology setup.
• Collaborate with IT staff on projects and upgrades.
