Rally House is seeking an IT Intern to support employees and help the IT team manage technology resources. You will troubleshoot hardware and software, set up devices, respond to service desk requests, and assist with asset management across HQ and retail locations.

This part-time internship offers hands-on experience in IT support, asset management, and operations within a growing retail company. The role requires readiness to work in Lenexa, KS, and participate in store pre-opening activities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college/university or recent graduate pursuing IT/CS degree.
• Desire to build a long-term IT career with Rally House.
• Willing to work part-time in a Rally House store before internship starts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with network and hardware setup for store openings, relocations, and remodels.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide solutions.
• Set up and configure computers, printers, and devices for staff.
• Respond to service desk tickets and document procedures.
• Support user account management tasks like password resets and access permissions.
• Manage IT inventory and distribute assets to team members.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets at HQ and stores.
• Develop device taxonomy, naming standards, and SOPs for consistency.
• Create and maintain technical setup guides, troubleshooting steps, and FAQs.

Job Description

The IT Intern will provide hands-on support to employees while helping the IT team manage and organize Rally House’s technology resources. This role will assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up and configuring devices, responding to service desk requests, and supporting basic user account needs. The intern will also help maintain accurate inventory records for computers, accessories, software, and other technology assets. This hands-on internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in IT support, asset management, and technology operations while learning how IT systems and processes support a growing retail organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist with network and hardware setup activities to help ensure new store openings, relocations, and remodel projects are operational on schedule
• Assist end users by troubleshooting hardware and software issues, providing solutions to technical problems
• Set up and configure computers, printers, and other devices for new and existing employees
• Respond to service desk tickets and document support procedures in the IT helpdesk system
• Support user account management tasks, such as password resets and access permissions
• Manage IT inventory by receiving, organizing, and distributing assets to team members
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets within corporate HQ and retail locations
• Develop standardized device taxonomy, naming standards, and SOPs for consistency and training purposes
• Create and maintain technical documentation, such as setup guides, troubleshooting steps, and FAQs for end users and internal support staff

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work part-time in a Rally House store prior to starting the internship
• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university and/or recent graduate with or pursuing a relevant degree (e.g. Information Technology, Computer Science, etc.)
• Demonstrated desire to build a long-term career with Rally House

Physical Requirements

• Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment
• Able to clearly view and read information on a computer screen
• Occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds

Pay Range

$18.00 - $22.00
