Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Atlanta is offering a 12-week paid internship in our Atlanta Tech Hub. You will work with our IT department, gain hands-on experience, and contribute to meaningful projects across North America's largest food service distributor.

The program includes mentorship, professional development, and networking, with opportunities to shadow teams in Communications, Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, Supply Chain, and more.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a university pursuing an IT/CS degree.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Support project coordination and documentation.
• Assist with infrastructure refreshes and large-site initiatives.
• Organize and prioritize work in Jira.
• Shadow teams to learn IT operations.

Working alongside our IT department team that serves our customers, employees, and partners across North America and Canada.

• Supply Chain
• Revenue Management

Build a Career:

Target Alignment: Focuses on helping the team streamline project coordination and documentation.

Support the coordination of major infrastructure refreshes and large-scale site initiatives (such as the Shepherdsville, Imperial, or Green Oak projects).

Work within Jira, specifically organization and prioritization Assist with site/network documentation that we are lagging behind on due to high priority work taking precedence.

Build the Future by:

Meet the following qualifications to be considered for our 2027 internship program:

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
