Job summary

Gordon Food Service invites you to join a 12-week paid internship at our Atlanta Tech Hub. You will collaborate with our IT department across North America, gaining hands-on exposure to projects, mentorship, and professional development.

You will work with Jira and cross-functional teams, supporting infrastructure refreshes, site initiatives, and comprehensive documentation. This paid program emphasizes experiential learning, networking, and growth in IT disciplines.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Responsibilities

• Support IT team with project coordination and documentation.
• Assist with infrastructure refreshes and large-site initiatives.
• Help with site/network documentation and Jira organization/prioritization.

Build Connections By:

Working alongside our IT department team that serves our customers, employees, and partners across North America and Canada. Collaborating with other Gordon Food Service interns and employees in the following areas:

• Communications
• Finance
• Accounting
• Human Resources
• IT
• Marketing & Merchandising
• Supply Chain
• Revenue Management

Build a Career:

In the IT department by:

• Target Alignment: Focuses on helping the team streamline project coordination and documentation.
• Support the coordination of major infrastructure refreshes and large-scale site initiatives (such as the Shepherdsville, Imperial, or Green Oak projects).
• Work within Jira, specifically organization and prioritization
• Assist with site/network documentation that we are lagging behind on due to high priority work taking precedence

Build the Future by:

Meet the following qualifications to be considered for our 2027 internship program:

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Network, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher
