Job summary

Gordon Food Service is offering a 12-week paid internship at our Atlanta Tech Hub. You will work with the Cloud DevOps team on automation, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

The program provides mentorship, professional development, and networking opportunities across IT, finance, HR, and more. Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering, be authorized to work in the US, and maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher.

• Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering Degree with Computer Specializations
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain scripts to automate routine tasks (Python/Bash)
• Assist in managing cloud infrastructure on GCP using Kubernetes and Docker
• Contribute to CI/CD process improvements and security tooling
• Set up and manage monitoring and alerting for applications and infrastructure
• Create clear documentation for processes and tools

Build a Career

• Automation and Scripting: Write and maintain scripts using languages like Python or Bash to automate routine tasks, such as deployments and server provisioning.
• Infrastructure Management: Assist in managing our cloud infrastructure on platforms like GCP using Kubernetes. This includes helping with Kubernetes, virtual machine, container management using Docker.
• CI/CD Support: Work with our engineering teams to improve our CI/CD pipelines. You’ll help with building new stages, integrating security scanning tools, and ensuring our code gets from development to production efficiently.
• Monitoring and Maintenance: Help set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems to track the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure. Work with other team members to resolve any issues identified.
• Documentation: Create and update clear, concise documentation for our processes and tools, making it easier for the entire team to understand and follow best practices.
