Job summary

Kalmbach Feeds is seeking an IT Infrastructure Manager to lead strategy, reliability, security, and lifecycle management of enterprise infrastructure across on-site offices, plants, and locations. You will oversee on-premises and cloud environments, manage budgets, and drive roadmaps with cross-functional partners.

The role requires a track record of leading technical teams, implementing hybrid-cloud architectures, and ensuring resilient, scalable infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 10+ years of infrastructure or IT operations experience, including at least 5 years leading technical teams and multi-site initiatives.
• Experience leading enterprise networks, compute, storage, monitoring, backup, recovery; familiarity with VMware, SolarWinds, SQL Server or comparable platforms.
• Experience designing and operating hybrid-cloud environments with on-prem and cloud integration, networking, security, cost management, and lifecycle governance. Azure experience preferred.
• Experience supporting infrastructure in multi-site manufacturing or distribution environments with new plant/site deployments.
• Ability to lead, coach, delegate, and build a high-performing technical team.
• Experience managing vendors, contracts, licensing, and budgets, including capital and operating expense planning.
• Ability to balance operations, cybersecurity remediation, lifecycle maintenance, project delivery, and incident response.
• Ability to maintain portfolio visibility and communicate changes, risks, and priorities.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security practices, vulnerability remediation, privileged access, and incident response.
• Experience using service and operational metrics to drive continual improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, translating technical risk and project status into business implications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the infrastructure team; set ownership, priorities, performance expectations, and technical standards.
• Build a culture of reliable execution with clear ownership, deadlines, tracking, and recovery plans.
• Ensure infrastructure reliability, resilience, and security to support ongoing operations.
• Set monitoring, alerting, capacity, and performance standards; use trends to reduce risk and meet availability targets.
• Deliver infrastructure for new plants, warehouses, offices, and expansions in coordination with construction schedules.
• Partner with Service Desk, Business Systems, Analytics, and Cybersecurity leaders to resolve cross-functional issues.
• Evaluate technology trends and recommend improvements aligned with business objectives and risk reduction.
• Maintain multi-year roadmaps, manage risks and dependencies, and communicate progress and costs.
• Support budget development with forecasts; manage contracts, vendors, and spending; report performance.
• Define and execute scalable hybrid-cloud strategy; translate demand into timely investments.
