Job summary

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill an IT Infrastructure Analyst position in Buffalo, NY. This is a 12-18 month contract and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY. The role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.

You'll act as liaison between patch management and application teams, maintain documentation, respond to tickets, and support infrastructure changes while ensuring adherence to internal controls.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or related technical support role.
• Experience with change scheduling tools and IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira.
• Proven ability to read, digest, and communicate technical information to both technical teams and management audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, particularly in managing time-sensitive changes in dynamic environments.
• Demonstrated customer focus with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain service excellence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience providing regular updates and status reports.
• Detail-oriented approach to documentation, maintenance procedures, and configuration management.
• Experience with systems maintenance activities including patching, health checks, and operating system updates.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between patch management and application teams to coordinate patching schedules and requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all change schedules, patch deployment plans, and related infrastructure processes.
• Respond to and resolve escalated help desk tickets by analyzing and isolating technical issues using diagnostic tools.
• Complete systems maintenance activities including patching, health checks, operating system updates, and configuration validation.
• Facilitate cross-team meetings and manage communication with technical stakeholders on time-sensitive infrastructure changes.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex technical incidents and elevate issues appropriately to senior staff.
• Manage multiple work orders and customer requests while prioritizing based on business impact and urgency.
• Participate in team project initiatives and identify process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to less experienced team members on standard operating procedures.
• Ensure adherence to internal control standards and elevate risk-related issues as needed.
