Lighthouse Technology Services, Inc is partnering with our client to fill a Patch Management Specialist position in Buffalo, NY. This is a hybrid 12-18+ months contract and you will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services, Inc.

You will serve as the primary liaison between patch management and application teams, drive patch deployment planning and execution, and coordinate change schedules using ITSM platforms to ensure smooth system updates.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in IT infrastructure roles.
• Experience with change scheduling tools and ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira.
• ITIL or change management certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patching schedules and requirements between patch management and application teams.
• Plan and execute patch deployments and changes in time-sensitive environments.
• Coordinate change schedules using ITSM platforms to ensure updates.
• Troubleshoot incidents from help desk using diagnostic tools and RCA.
• Maintain documentation for change schedules and patch plans.
• Lead cross-functional meetings to align stakeholders on patching requirements.
• Perform system maintenance including patching, health checks, OS updates, and configuration validation.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
• Support infrastructure projects during evening maintenance windows.

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Patch Management Specialist position! This is a 12-18+ months contract and will be hybrid in Buffalo, NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Serve as primary liaison between patch management and application teams to coordinate patching schedules and requirements
• Drive patch deployment planning and execution while managing time-sensitive changes in dynamic IT environments
• Lead change schedule coordination using ITSM platforms to ensure smooth system updates and maintenance activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical incidents escalated from help desk using diagnostic tools and root cause analysis
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for change schedules, patch deployment plans, and operational procedures
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings to align stakeholders on patching requirements and communicate technical status updates
• Execute system maintenance activities including patching, health checks, OS updates, and configuration validation per SOPs
• Identify and document process improvement opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery
• Support project initiatives within the infrastructure team during evening maintenance windows as scheduled

What You’ll Need to Have:

• 4+ years of experience in IT infrastructure roles
• Experience with change scheduling tools and IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow or Jira
• Experience reading, interpreting, and applying technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical problems clearly to management and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong customer focus with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder expectations
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments
• Detail-oriented approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• ITIL or change management certifications preferred

Pay Range: $40 - $48+/hr
