Job summary

Moses Lake School District 161 Technology Dept. in Moses Lake, WA is seeking a skilled Technology Helpdesk specialist to support district end users, install, configure, and maintain hardware and software assets.

This full-time role requires strong trouble-shooting across Windows and Mac platforms and basic network knowledge. Under the Technology Director, you will handle tickets, inventory, and remote/onsite support, with an emphasis on timely issue resolution, exceptional attendance, and

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related technology field and/or at least two years of work experience; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of PC troubleshooting and repair for Windows and Macintosh platforms.
• Basic understanding of PC hardware, peripherals, and LAN operations.
• Associate level certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, and/or Cisco desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support via telephone, onsite, and electronic (email, remote/virtual) help desk support to district employees, students, and others as needed.
• Install, configure, diagnose, repair, service and maintain desktop computer systems and peripherals for multiple hardware platforms (PC and MAC).
• Provide basic network connectivity support for Local Area Network (LAN) equipment.
• Install, configure, and diagnose district printers (local and network).
• Maintain inventory system of district technology assets based on building assignments.
• Sort, inventory, and store production and surplus technology equipment.
• Escalate higher level support issues to Level II and III Support Specialists for resolution.
• Document all support related issues via help desk ticketing system for tracking and record keeping purposes.
• Attend district and department level meetings, including required training sessions.
