Job summary

Moses Lake School District 161 Technology Dept. seeks a Classified Technology Specialist II to support network and server systems.

Reports to Technology Director and provides level II escalation, assists with VOIP/telephony, and maintains assets across multiple platforms (PC and MAC) in a district environment. The role requires an associate degree with two years of network experience, plus knowledge of Cisco IOS and enterprise management tools.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related technology field and at least two years of progressively responsible experience in network support or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Experience in network administration, scripting, enterprise application support, or related infrastructure responsibilities.
• Intermediate understanding of PC hardware, peripherals, and local area network operations.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of network infrastructure and troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, wireless networking, switches, and related technologies.
• Associate level industry certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, and/or Cisco desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide level II escalation support to Technology Support Specialist I team members.
• Provide network installation and management under supervision.
• Support Network (LAN/WAN) equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, WAPs, wireless controllers.
• Document all support issues via help desk ticketing system.
• Develop tools and scripts to automate routine tasks and reports.
• Maintain inventory of district technology assets and assist with VOIP/Telephony tasks.
