Job summary
Ryerson is seeking a skilled Help Desk Technician to join our IT team. You will support and maintain our technology infrastructure, delivering hands-on expertise and collaborating across departments to ensure reliable service.
Responsibilities include troubleshooting complex issues, deploying hardware and software, securing systems with the Cyber team, and providing high-touch support to executives and VIP users, while maintaining PCs, networks, and peripherals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology preferred.
- If not, an Associate degree in a related field plus 4 years of relevant experience.
- 2+ years of experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Extensive working knowledge of computer systems.
Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve complex and routine computer issues.
- Provide technical support across departments.
- Install hardware, software, and other tools.
- Coordinate with Cyber team to enforce security policies.
- Maintain PCs, networks, printers, and peripherals.
- Serve as central contact for OT/CNC plant technology.
- Provide one-on-one coaching on technology when needed.
- Deliver high-touch support to executive and VIP users.
- Other duties as assigned.
