Job summary

PeopleSharp in Kent, OH is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to support internal employees with hardware, software, and network issues, on-site in Kent. The role emphasizes strong communication and problem-solving in a collaborative environment.

You will manage desktops, laptops, printers, VPN access, AD accounts, VoIP systems, and related IT assets, providing on-site and remote support while pursuing ongoing technical development.

Qualifications

• Experience with Windows/Microsoft 365 and AD.
• Experience configuring desktops, printers, peripherals and networking equipment.
• Experience providing onsite and remote troubleshooting, tech support, and training.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills, patient with users, detail-oriented, eager to learn, able to work independently yet collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for issues through tickets, phone, email, and remote support.
• Maintain, configure, upgrade, and deploy desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, software, and other IT assets.
• Assist with Active Directory, user accounts, permissions, LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls, remote access, updates, patches, and security protocols.
• Administer access control systems and manage badges, keys, and PINs; troubleshoot hardware and coordinate repairs.
• Administer the VoIP/PBX phone system and enterprise printer/copier fleet, including configurations and lifecycle replacements.
• Maintain documentation and service records for supporting infrastructure and coordinate inspections and repairs.
